About

casamarj photoMy name is Marjorie Hunt. I am from Southern California and currently live in Los Angeles, but I have also lived in Connecticut, Chile, and Mexico. I write about the intersections between U.S. and Latin American politics, with a focus on migration and U.S. immigration policy. I support the right of every person to search for a better life, no matter how many borders they have to cross to find it. I know that the personal is political, and I hope that I’m living out the values I believe in.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I told you I would stop by and check out your work. What you have here is pure gold. Keep up the good work pretty woman and keep spreading the message because you are doing a damn good job of it!

  2. This post makes me think of a book I read recently called &#rvs0;O2e8dres2ed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion” by Elizabeth L. Cline. The sentiment “Just because the dresses are $8 does not mean you have to buy them all!” is part and parcel to the greater problem of fast fashion and the negative effects it is having on the economy and ourselves. If you haven’t already read the book I highly recommend it. Great blog and I admire your drive!
